Nicole Perryman started her career supporting women and children exposed to domestic violence in a shelter and providing leadership in residential homes for individuals with intellectual and physical needs. In this role, she started a Grief and Loss Counselling group for residence. Following this, she acted as a Child Services Worker for a Children’s Aid Society supporting children, families, and resource providers. Later, she opened a foster home, providing care for 30 children and youth in need for over 10 years. Nicole began providing counselling and psychotherapy services shortly afterwards. In this role, she worked with youth involved in the criminal justice system, women survivors of sexual abuse, youth in residential care, youth in foster homes, and families seeking reunification. Currently, Nicole is the principle owner and Clinical Director of Aset Group Consulting and Counselling Services. Nicole started Aset Group CC in January 2013 to provide psychotherapy & counselling services to children, youth, families, adults and couples. Later, in January 2017, Nicole started a non for profit, Ifarada: Centre for Excellence providing group programs and mentorship to adults and youth.
In addition to managing two companies, Nicole is a clinical panel providing clinical s. 112 custody and access assessments. She is an equity consultant and writer, addressing topics in equity leadership. She is a professor, providing instruction in Health and Social Sciences.
Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree (History) from the University of Toronto. At York University, she earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). She completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University) and Masters in Social Work (Windsor University). She is a Trauma Specialist and Certified Play Therapist. She also possess extensive training in psychotherapy and equity training. Nicole is an avid writer and creator. She has developed articles designed to inform, equip, and empower people to access resources in areas of: Youth Perspectives, Developing your Inner Self, Addressing Difficult Issues, Providing Evidence-Supported Counselling, Divorce and Separation, Grief and Loss, and Equity Matters.
